Video: Cinux 2.2 Running on systemd
So, these past few days I've been playing around with several options and software. The latest experiment is this: Cinux 2.2 running on systemd. It's surprisingly and amazingly fast: It boots up in just 5 seconds and you can boot it up and turn it back off in just 14 seconds. I made a video of it running through Virtual Box 4.3.

Thank you very much! Please feel free to do the review, I'm looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome. I am prolly going to have to delay a little bit as
ReplyDeleteI have crashed 7 Distro's with my video editing and graphics touch up
stuff. LOL! At the moment I am using elentary OS but if it goes by the
wayside then Cinix will be next as my main OS. Wish me luck.
Unfortunaately I cannot install Pandora into a VM as I do not know enough to execute the script. Once you get an installer develpoed either a gui or cli then I can do a review in a more full-flavored way. Again I apologize for this set back.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about it at all, I'm just glad you wanted to do a review! Thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteHello my friend! I have great news, I made a video review of Pandora! I am proud to do so. I will post the link as soon as I can get it uploaded. Also this video will be on my website at http://fishmanloveslinux.weebly.com. I want to help you promote this in anyway that I can except for I am disabled and poor as far as funds go but, I have other resources. :D
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about it. I'm just glad people show interest and like this project. Keep up the good work. :)
ReplyDeleteI uploaded the review last night. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3JLE8gJ-TU.
ReplyDeleteI am very interested in it due the fact that you did not remaster another Distro but built from scratch so to speak. Thank you for the encouragement. I also posted the video on my website.
Yes, I saw it! Thank you very much. I subscribed to your channel on YouTube and I'll also post the review on the "What is Cinux" page as well!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that your distro description on softpedia says you have a ppc version. after scouring the site i can't seem to find it. could you post a direct link for it please. thanks
ReplyDeleteHi, I have to e-mail Softpedia and request for that to be updated. I dropped support for the PPC version quite a while ago. I currently only support x86, x64 and ARM
ReplyDeleteThere is minimal installation option?
ReplyDeleteI'd like it a whole minimum version? Let's say where the core packages are
The distro itself is a "minimal," so to speak. The only additional packages you get is X11 and Xfce (Which I plan to partially remove in favor of UniverseUI).
ReplyDeleteI need that is not x11 and Xfce. Fully fund system. That contains only the core packages
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't have a minimal installation option at the moment, as the OS has not package manager (it's still under development).
